Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
Cloudshipped Tech LLC (“Cloudshipped,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at cloudshipped.co (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Site is a marketing and contact site for a solo project-based DevOps consultancy. We do not run advertising networks, sell data to third parties, or engage in behavioral tracking for commercial purposes.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you contact us by email or schedule a discovery call through our third-party scheduling provider (Calendly), you may provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name and role
- Your estimated AWS spend and anything else you choose to tell us about your needs
- The content of your message
- Whether you consent to AI note-taking on the call
Call recordings. If you consent to AI note-taking when you book a call, we use an AI note-taking tool to record, transcribe, and summarize the call. We record calls only with consent; if you decline, the call is not recorded. Any participant may ask us to stop recording at any time.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log standard server-side information when you visit the Site, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and time spent
- Date and time of access
We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the Site is used: pages viewed, time on the Site, referring sites, approximate location (country, region, and city, derived from your IP address), browser, device type, screen size, language, and clicks on our booking, email, and sample report links. Umami does not use cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not track you across sites. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated and you will be notified via a prominent notice on the Site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to inquiries submitted by email or through our scheduling provider
- To schedule and conduct discovery calls or consultations
- To fulfill contractual obligations when an engagement is established
- To improve the Site's content and user experience
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) may give you the following rights where it applies. Whether or not it applies, we welcome requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information:
- Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the CPRA.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@cloudshipped.co. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time, and within any period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
California residents may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf by contacting us at the email address above with written authorization.
Categories of Personal Information Collected (CCPA)
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, email address, IP address
- Professional information: company name and job title or role
- Internet or other electronic network activity: pages visited, browser type, referring URL
- Geolocation data: approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from IP address
- Audio information: recordings and transcripts of calls, only when you consent to AI note-taking
- Commercial information: nature of consulting inquiry and estimated AWS spend (only when voluntarily provided)
We do not collect Social Security numbers, health information, biometric data, precise geolocation data, or sensitive personal information. If you become a client, billing and bank account details you use to pay us or receive a refund are processed by our invoicing and payment providers and used only for billing.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:
- Email and scheduling inquiries: retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up, and maintain our business relationship, and deleted on request unless we must keep them for legal reasons or they become part of a client engagement record
- Call recordings and transcripts: kept only as long as needed to follow up on your inquiry or perform an engagement, and deleted on request unless they become part of a client engagement record
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider according to its retention settings, and used only for security and diagnostic purposes
- Client working data (cost and usage exports, log extracts, and query results): deleted from the systems we control within 10 days after the engagement's follow-up question period ends, or when a follow-on engagement ends, and earlier on request
- Client engagement records (agreements, deliverables, correspondence, invoices, and the workpapers supporting our findings): retained for 7 years after the engagement ends to satisfy legal and accounting obligations, then deleted from the systems we control
Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services to operate the Site and our business. Each is subject to its own privacy policy:
- Hosting provider: serves the Site and may collect server logs
- Umami Cloud: cookieless, aggregate Site analytics — subject to Umami's Privacy Policy
- Calendly: used for scheduling discovery calls — subject to Calendly's Privacy Policy
- AI note-taking tool: records, transcribes, and summarizes calls when participants consent
- Customer relationship management (HubSpot): stores contact details and inquiry history
- Email provider: used to receive and reply to inquiries sent by email
- Software tools, including AI assistants: may help us analyze information we handle for client engagements. We use AI tools only under terms or settings under which the provider does not use the information to train its models
- Document storage and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace): store correspondence and client engagement records
- Invoicing and payment providers: process billing contact and payment details for clients
- Cloud infrastructure provider (Amazon Web Services): stores working data during client engagements
We do not embed third-party advertising tags, social media pixels, or analytics scripts that track users across sites. Our analytics are cookieless and do not identify you by name or email address.
Do Not Track and Cross-Site Tracking
Our analytics honor Do Not Track: if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the Umami script does not record your visit. Our hosting provider may still keep the standard server logs described above, which are used only for security and diagnostics.
We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site. If you follow a link to another site, such as Calendly to book a call, that site’s own privacy policy and tracking practices apply.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include HTTPS encryption for all Site traffic and restricted access to inquiry and scheduling data.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at legal@cloudshipped.co.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and for individuals at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Links to Third-Party Sites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
